Due to the Covid-19 pandemic we have made significant changes to the way this years food drive will work.

We are complying with all government social distancing directives in place at the time of the drive and we are taking additional steps to prepare and equip volunteers to hold a safe, fun, and effective food drive.

In order to ensure social distancing is maintained we have eliminated door knocking for this years food drive.

Here are some additional steps we are taking to ensure everyone’s safety.
  • We insist that everyone follow the government mandated social distancing rules that apply at the time of the drive.
  • Volunteers are asked to stay home if they are:
    • High risk
    • Sick
    • Have been in contact with someone who is positive or suspected positive for Covid-19 in the 14 days prior to the event
  • Volunteers who present with Covid-19 symptoms will be sent home
  • We have secured a supply of hand sanitizer for all church hubs so volunteers can top up their personal bottles for this event. Volunteers are asked to bring their own hand sanitizer bottles and top them up when they get their kits
  • This event is held outdoors where social distancing can be maintained
