The ONEchurch Brantford food drive is based on the model used in other local cities to collect a substantial amount of food in a short amount of time. It aims to eliminate the chronic summer food shortage experienced by the Brantford food bank and the families that rely upon it.
The model for the food drive is simple. Teams sign up for a manageable route somewhere in the city through a church location of their choice. A week before the drive they deliver a flyer to all the homes in their route using maps and instructions provided. On the day of the drive teams go out and collect the food, bringing it back to the church to be sorted. Finally, food will be delivered to the Brantford food bank. Our food drive is easy, simple and fun!
